Dr. Amira Nisar is a life member of the Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE). Her research interests include Substation & Distribution Automation, Smart Micro Grids, and Electric Vehicles. She is In-charge of the Electrical Machines Lab and holds the position of Public Information Officer (PIO).

Dr. Nisar has been honored with a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ in recognition of her volunteerism & wonderful support in organizing the International Conference, 12th IEEE Indicon2015 held from 17th – 20th December 2015, at JMI, New Delhi. She has also received two ‘Commendation Certificates’ in recognition of the distinguished & selfless service rendered by her, in the years 2004 and 2007.
