Swavalamban Skill to Enterprise Model (STEM) is a joint Initiative of DSEU and SIDBI where 30 participants with a business idea and skill will be selected through a rigorous selection procedure for a 6 month course. DSEU will support and nurture entrepreneurs and provide quality mentorship to steer the entrepreneurial journeys of those interested, by providing incubation, and handholding. The course will run on weekends at the Bhai Parmanand DSEU Shakarpur Campus - 2.
Objectives
DSEU and SIDBI have partnered to launch a 6 month entrepreneurship program that will enable the students to be venture ready and credit ready. This means that they can, if required, generate funds and can set up and run their own business.
The project has three objectives:-

• Identifying students with the right entrepreneurial acumen for rising up to solve societal challenges.
• Building capabilities and developing mindsets and skills amongst students so that they are well equipped to set up enterprises
• Challenging students to work on building solutions for real world current market problem

Upon successful competition, candidate shall receive a Joint certification from DSEU & SIDBI

The Program will focus on four domains: -

• Personality : 8 weeks (Class room study) : 24 Sessions of 1hr 15 min each
• Business : 8 weeks (Classroom and Field Study) : 24 Sessions of 1hr 15 min each
• Mentorship : 8-12 weeks (Classroom and Field) : Mentorship and Handholding
• Business English Communication : 100 hr Program (Class room study)

Outcomes
The program is intended to yield the following outcomes at the end of one year:

• 70% participants set up their own business enterprise (min. value of Rs. 1.5 lakh)
• Additional employment created (employment enhancement; minimum 1 additionalemployee after 12 months of registration of business)

Eligibility
Student who has done any of the following :-

• Passed 12th or ITI or Diploma from a Recognized Board/University
• Graduate who has cleared courses prescribed by NSDC and other sector skill councils
• Enrolled at DSEU or any other skill-based undergraduate program

Duration : 6 Months + 1 Year Incubation Support
Location : Bhai Parmanand DSEU Shakarpur Campus 2
Working Days : Saturday and Sunday (8-12 Sessions of 1hr 15 min each every week)
Fee Structure : The program is free of cost however there is a Security Deposit of Rs. 8000/- (the deposit shall be returned to the student upon successful completion of the program, i.e., ensuring
75% attendance and submission of final deliverables)
