Yoga Day & Stress Management Session

REOPRT ON WORKSHOP ON INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA UNDER COMMON YOGA PROTOCOL (CYP) Under the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) of International Day of Yoga as per the UGC guidelines, Bhai Parmanand, DSEU, Shakarpur campus- II on 25th. May.2022 conducted the workshop on Yoga at the central lawn of the institute from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM under the supervision of Nodal officer Ms. Ekta Kharbanda and Student welfare officer Dr. S. Mishra. Mr. Karan Rohera faculty at Art of Living, New Delhi Centre conducted the workshop as a yoga instructor and group of approx. 80 students, faculties and other college staff participated in the program. Mr. Karan Rohera trained us to perform the following yoga asanas:
  • Vajrasana,
  • Vrksasana,
  • Savasana,
  • Surya Namaskar Asana,
  • Balasana,
  • Pranayama asana, etc.
Yoga rejuvenates body, mind and soul as it involves the understanding of meditation and breathing. Mr. Karan informed us the major benefits of yoga if we perform it on regular basis which are as follows:
  • It improves strength, balance and flexibility,
  • It relaxes body and mind and promotes better sleep,
  • It promotes heart health,
  • It improves posture, etc.
At last, group of students, faculties and other staff members of Bhai Parmanand, DSEU, Shakarpur Campus- II performed all the yoga asanas with full zeal and enjoyed a lot. We are very thankful to the University that they have organized such a wonderful yoga workshop and provide us the opportunity to be the part of it.   REOPRT OF SESSION ON STRESS MANAGEMENT UNDER COMMON YOGA PROTOCOL (CYP)   Under the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) of International Day of Yoga as per the UGC guidelines, Bhai Parmanand, DSEU, Shakarpur campus- II on 25th. May.2022 conducted the workshop on Yoga at the multi-purpose hall of the institute from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM under the supervision of Nodal officer Ms. Ekta Kharbanda and Student welfare officer Dr. S. Mishra. Mr. Karan Rohera faculty at Art of Living, New Delhi Centre conducted the session as a trainer and group of approx. 100 students, faculties and other college staff participated in the program.  Mr. Karan Rohera introduced us to the importance of 3C’s in life which will always help us to live stress-free life i.e.
  • Concentration,
  • Confidence &
  • Clarity of mind.
As we know every human being feel stressed at some point of time in his life, it can be seen from adolescence stage specially students due to various reasons. Mr. Karan Rohera trained us how to manage stress and how to cope up with it through various exercises, techniques and meditation.  Mr. Karan Rohera informed us the various harmful effects of stress which can lead to health related problems such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc which will surely shorten our life expectancy. The main reason behind stress in youth is non-fulfillment of their dreams/goals. It is very important to live life happily. So trainer explained through various examples to understand stress and how to handle it.    At last, group of students, faculties and other staff members of Bhai Parmanand, DSEU, Shakarpur Campus- II understood the role of exercise, meditation and healthy food which will help us to manage stress. All have participated in the session with full zeal and enjoyed a lot. We are very thankful to the University that they have organized such a wonderful stress management workshop and provide us the opportunity to be the part of it.
