Mrs. Neeru Mehta is the Director of the DSEU Shakarpur Campus. She joined the Ambedkar Institute of Technology, now known as DSEU Shakarpur Campus in 1992 as a lecturer in the Electronics Engineering Department with a specialization in Medical Electronics. Reminiscing about her sports achievements, she shared that her interest in the sport developed during her school days since her father was also a table tennis player. She represented her school at National Level in 1978 at Amritsar. Mrs. Neeru shared that being a national-level player helped her fetch some extra points which in turn helped in her admission to graduation. Mrs. Neeru completed her B.Sc. from Stephen’s College, the University of Delhi in 1983, after which she pursued her interest in a technical course at B.Tech in Instrumentation from Madras Institute of Technology in 1987. She continued her game and bagged many trophies representing her college at the university level in 1983. She has worked in the private sector for 5 years with organizations like Danfoss India Ltd, Telcom Electronics Ltd., and the National Institute of Immunization where she pursued her interest in Research and Development, designing using auto-cad. Between 1990-1992, she also served as an Assistant Professor in Chotu Ram State College of Engineering. After serving for 5 years, she went to pursue a Master’s in Technology in Services in 2000 from Delhi Technological University, formerly known as Delhi College of Engineering. Since 2005, Mrs. Mehta has been a part of the team of Govt. of NCT of Delhi at the All India Civil Services Tournament and has Bagged silver and bronze medal in All India Civil Services tournament in 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 representing NCT of Delhi state. In the year 2019-2021, she secured the bronze medal representing Delhi State in Table Tennis Federation of India tournament. She has also won the Silver Medal at Interdepartmental Tournament for 3 consecutive years in the women’s doubles and mixed doubles category. At the All India Table Tennis Marathon in 2017, Mrs. Mehta won a silver medal for the state.
