Dr. R.D. Sharma

Dr. R.D. Sharma is the Head of the Department of Sciences & Humanities at Aryabhatt DSEU Ashok Vihar Campus. A Gold Medalist at Rajasthan University in B.Sc.(Hon.) and M.Sc. Mathematics, Dr. Sharma has been teaching for almost 4 decades now. Starting his career as a faculty in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Banasthali University in 1983, he has taught students at the graduate and post-graduate level in mathematics, statistics, M.Sc., and MCA  for 6 years. Post which, Dr. Sharma joined DTTE as a lecturer in 1989 pursuing his passion to teach students the ‘miracle methods’ and abstract algebra. He authored the book ‘Linear Algebra for Postgraduate students in 1989. For IIT JEE aspirants, he wrote the book ‘Objective Mathematics’ in 1995, which is used by students to date. Dr. Sharma has also authored a series of books for students of Class VI – Class XII under CBSE and Class 9- Class 12 under the ICSE board. Teaching students at the Diploma level, Dr. Sharma holds great regard for the young learners and has always been at the forefront of imparting knowledge and guiding his students to the best of his ability. Having been teaching diploma students for more than 3 decades, Dr. Sharma has authored ‘Applied Mathematics’ for diploma students and ‘Engineering Mathematics for B.Tech students recently. “Mathematics has been my favorite subject. I wanted to make it easy for every student out there and writing is my second favorite thing. I combined the two and was able to bring about a change in the lives of numerous students”
