Building resilient careers in BFSI – DSEU launches BBA program with targeted focus on practical skilling

Think of the last time you switched on your television or the radio. Chances are, within the first 10-15 mins someone on the other side would have recommended that you open a bank account, take a home loan, sign up for a life cover or start a mutual fund SIP. It’s no surprise actually – after all the Banking, Finance Services and Insurance, in short known as the BFSI sector, comprising of the large Banks, Insurance companies, NBFCs, Brokerage firms and now Fintechs, contribute a huge chunk to India’s GDP and creates lakhs of jobs each year. Have you ever wondered how you could move to the other side and sit behind those counters at bank branches and approve loans or be walking around with the latest tablet to a clients’ workplace and sign them up for an investment plan?

While a graduate degree is the minimum to get started a vast majority of the graduates spend an additional year or two to acquire the necessary skills to join this sector and spend a lot of money to crack the entrance process into the sector. The BBA program of DSEU in BFSI designed with the industry, will groom and skill you to join the sector on the day you graduate. Leading experts from the fields of Banking, Insurance and Securities Markets alongside professionals from HDFC Life Insurance Company and HDFC Bank are designing the course and will oversee the course delivery.

There are 300 seats for the course this year.  Upon graduation you can expect to join the Sales and Operations department in any of the major Banks, Insurers, NBFCs, Micro Finance institutions or Brokerage firms. The starting salaries are expected to be in the range of INR 20,000 to 25,000 per month, with the possibility for rapid growth based on your performance. Depending on your interest you could freelance and become an independent sales agent or banking correspondent or a sub broker or a financial advisor. Come join the sector that is poised to become one of the largest in the world!
