Starbucks Corporation is an American multinational chain of coffeehouses and roastery reserves headquartered in Seattle, Washington. It is the world's largest coffeehouse chain. In January 2011, Starbucks Corporation and Tata Coffee announced plans to begin opening Starbucks locations in India. Tata Starbucks Limited is a 50:50 joint venture company, owned by Tata Consumer Products and Starbucks Corporation that owns and operates Starbucks outlets in India. The outlets are branded Starbucks “A Tata Alliance". As of April 2022, Tata Starbucks has a total of 270 stores all over India. Starbucks will open its store for DSEU’s retail management students to offer apprenticeship and in the job training opportunities. Starbucks in-store training will provide students with the exposure needed to understand the market, customers, day to day operations and how a premium F&B retail business functions in a growing economy like India.
