Beginning in 2008, the Schneider Electric India Foundation (SEIF) has been focused on five core areas to ensure sustainable energy for all. These include education, entrepreneurship, employment, electrification and training. It has set up 271 vocational training centers spread across the country and comprising 260 basic electrician training centers, ten solar energy training centers and one Centre of Excellence. Schneider has set up 4 state-of-the art training labs at DSEU campuses – ABIT Ashok Vihar, GND Rohini, PIT PUSA and GB Pant Okhla. These labs will provide 21st century skills to electrical engineering students and also prepare aspirants in basic electrician skill sets.
