About Project Her & Now:

Project Her&Now on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and in partnership with the Indian Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) aims to improve the framework conditions for women-led enterprises in India. The project aims to provide policy advice to MSDE on the gender-sensitive design and implementation of entrepreneurship support programmes. To this end, the project pilots incubation and acceleration programmes for micro women entrepreneurs to start new businesses and scale up existing enterprises in North Eastern Region (NER), Rajasthan, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra which is being scaled up across further locations. The seven-month incubation programme supports aspiring women entrepreneurs to turn their ideas into a business. During the six-month acceleration programme, women with existing businesses are supported to grow their enterprises. Under the name of ‘Her&Now’, the project also runs a film and media campaign to tell the stories of successful women entrepreneurs and to foster a positive mindset change on gender roles and norms in society.
