DSEU is an educational institution which allows you to choose courses that you feel inclined towards. Courses at DSEU are designed to teach skills that are relevant for the work that the student is expected to take up after the course. The courses will be practice-oriented and students will be expected to integrate themselves in the communities they come from by running community level projects. The University also prepares you to have a better chance at succeeding as an entrepreneur if you choose to do so.
There is no uniform in DSEU, however students are expected to come in decent clothing
The process to take admission in DSEU will be as follows for different category of programs offered by the University: – Diploma Program: Class X pass students are eligible for Diploma, who will be required to take a CET (Common Entrance Test) for diploma admissions. In addition, students of design oriented subjects such as Applied Arts, Interior Design, etc. will have to additionally qualify in Section D of the CET examination. Check out our Information Bulletin for more details. – Diploma in Pharmacy: Students who have qualified Class XII may take the CET for admissions and may also give an additional test for proving Pharmacy-oriented competence. – Part Time Diploma: Admissions will be based on merit. – Undergraduate Programs: Class XII pass students are eligible for Degree and the admission will be based on merit parameters. Taking the interest profiling test is mandatory for degree students, however, the marks of the interest profiling will not be counted in preparation of the merit list of the student. – Lateral Entry Programs: Apply through portal – will be based on CET. – MCA: Apply through a portal but based on the result of NIMCET score or through the entrance test of DSEU. – B.Tech programs offered at DITE/ GB Pant Engg. College: Admissions through JAC (centralised admissions portal for undergraduate B.Tech programs offered across Delhi govt colleges) – M.Tech: Admissions will be based on merit of score in GATE exam or entrance test of DSEU.
The candidate will have to fill the application form on the Official website. The candidate must have qualified 10th standard for admission in the Diploma program. For admission to Diploma in Pharmacy, the applicant must have passed 12th standard with PCB/PCM. After the registration, Entrance Test will be conducted for full time Diploma programs. Entrance Test will be conducted only once.
Admission to a Part-Time Diploma program will be on merit basis for more details refer to section 4.2.3 of IB.
The candidates have to fill the application form available at the official website of the University. Applicants must have qualified 12th standard. Admission will be done on the basis of merit list. There are few DSEU campuses which are close to the border of NCT of Delhi, such as DSEU Rajokri campus, DSEU Vivek Vihar campus and DSEU Shakarpur Campus. DSEU will come up with more campuses in the upcoming years in areas like Bakkarwala etc.
ITI offers certificate level programs, namely NCVT and SCVT. While the full-timeDiploma programs at DSEU allows you to further enrol in a degree programme with lateral entry options.
Programs at DSEU are designed to teach skills that are relevant for the job that the student is expected to take up after the completion of the program. The programs will be practice-oriented and the theoretical aspect will be taught to help conceptualise the skill that the student is learning. Emphasis will be laid on learning the skills that all of us need to face the world of work and life as one steps out of college. The student will also be encouraged to integrate themselves into community projects. Nurturing and training for becoming an entrepreneur will be offered to those who choose or have the inclination to do the same.
Yes, DSEU programs are recognized by all the Government sectors.
Yes, since the University is UGC certified, the programs offered by DSEU are accepted and valid across India and abroad.
While ITIs have played an instrumental role over the years in the skilling ecosystem, most ITIs have been associated with Diploma programs and a parallel system to prepare people for blue-collared jobs. Many ITIs have remained lagging in industry-relevant curriculum, infrastructure and placements.The University aims at providing degrees to the students with multiple-entry and exit options as per NEP. The University’s curriculum is embedded in industry partnership and state of the art investment in infrastructure. Most of all, the students have the opportunity of Higher Education that did not exist with ITIs.

Any candidate who fulfils the given minimum eligibility criteria for the respective programs may apply for as many programs they please. However, a candidate can pursue only one full-time program at a time.
For Diploma programs, candidates are expected to appear for CET (Common Entrance Test) with a minimum eligibility of class X or equivalent with Mathematics as a subject. For Diploma in Pharmacy, candidates must have passed Class XII with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics (PCB/ PCM) as subjects.
Can candidates from other states join DSEU?
A candidate who has qualified(or appeared) class X is eligible to apply for all the Diploma programs, except for Diploma in Pharmacy which has the minimum eligibility as class XII qualification. For more details refer to the Information Bulletin.

DSEU has robust tie ups with industry partners, for training, apprenticeship and placement in every program to prepare the students skilled and ready. DSEU does not offer job-guarantee to the students as students must take ownership of their placements and make the most of opportunities provided at DSEU. There is a dedicated Placement division in the University to assist and facilitate students for placement.

No, only the income certificate of parents is valid in case of OBC and EWS.
The certificate must be issued on or after 1st April 2022.

Out of the total seats, 85% seats are reserved for the Delhi region and 15% seats are reserved for Outside Delhi region.
There is no Management Quota in any of the DSEU programs.

The application registration fee is Rs 600/- (Only once) plus service tax. So if someone applies for a single or multiple programm he/she will have to pay Rs 600/-.

Any additional payment will be refunded back to the candidates. Most of the cases, payments are reversed by the bank itself to the same source of payment. In exceptional cases, the complaint may be logged with the University along with the proof of multiple successful transactions.
Common Entrance Test is an entrance exam being conducted for taking admission in various Full-time Diploma programs in DSEU.
CET is applicable to take admission in various full-time Diploma programs in DSEU and other private polytechnic colleges in Delhi.
Creative Aptitude Test is an entrance exam being conducted for taking admission in various design & creative programs such as Applied Arts, Architecture, Interior Design, Fashion Technology and B.A. Digital Media and Design. Test will be conducted in two stages, stage one is fully online and it is a qualifying test for stage two. Stage AI proctored exam and only those who qualify stage one shall be eligible for stage two eczema, which will be conducted offline at various DSEU campuses. Integrated Engineering Program (IEP) will provide an opportunity to a class X pass student to complete their Diploma in Engineering followed by lateral entry into 2nd year of B.Tech. Degree, together making the total course duration of IEP as 6 years.
DSEU has launched an Integrated Engineering Program (IEP) to enable students with an opportunity for higher education and to keep students motivated to perform well. It is envisaged that a student who pursues a Diploma shall be given an opportunity to continue with their education and graduate with a B.Tech. degree, provided they excel in their diploma program. Integrated Engineering Program (IEP) creates a pathway to connect the Diploma in Engineering with B.Tech. degree.

DSEU has designed a proprietary Personality, Entrepreneurial Mindset and General Ability Test (PEG) to help students choose the most suitable course for them. Candidates applying for Undergraduate courses (B.A./ B.Com./ B.Sc./ BBA/ BMS) have to take the mandatory non-proctored interest profiling test called PEG. The test is available online on the University website https://dseu.ac.in/dseu-peg-test/ and is free of cost. The test does not require any preparation and takes approximately 40 minutes to complete. A unique reference number and a PEG report in PDF form will be generated for each candidate.The candidate shall be asked to share their PEG report reference number and upload the test report before making course and campus preference.
Each course has been designed as per market relevance with specific inputs from industry and academic experts. The courses also include the much required life skills like digital skills, financial literacy, entrepreneurship etc. Every course has a large emphasis on hands-on practical training in the in-house labs and industry premises.The learnings will also include live projects with the community and industry. All these elements will ensure employability at the workplace from the first day of engagement, thus making you much sought after by employers. The holistic learning will enable you to face the world with confidence whether you are planning an employment, entrepreneurship or further studies.
Each of the courses will have a process of continuous evaluation throughout the course. There are multiple components that include end semester and mid semester examinations, project work, class participation and assignments that will be done either individually or in groups. The focus of the evaluation will be on assessment of both the conceptual learning of the student and on the development of the competence and skill.

“The 3 year courses are divided into 6 semesters and each course has been laid out in consultation with the industry partners. There is a strong weightage of credits assigned for practicals and hands-on learning. The curriculum is therefore embedded in apprenticeships and internships with the industry. These would be mandatory modules for students to graduate in the respective course. The University is offering a three year undergraduate degree course in Medical Laboratory Technology, called B.Sc. MLT. The course has multiple entry/exit options, i.e. if students want to exit after the first year, they get a diploma; if a student wants to exit after the second year, they get an advance diploma and if they want to exit after the third year, they get a 3-year degree. Students can come back and continue the course.
A student can pursue only one degree course at a time.
The students taking admission in 3rd semester through Lateral Entry shall have to pass the Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics (I and II), Applied Chemistry and Applied Science theory subjects of 1st year Diploma courses of relevant disciplines. Such candidates are not required to write internal sessional tests for Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics (I and II), Applied Chemistry, and Applied Science subjects of 1st year of the relevant Diploma course. They have to study these subjects themselves and shall have to pass these subjects within the total period of course duration for lateral entry plus two years. However, if a candidate has passed class XII in science with vocational/ class XII (Science)/ class XII with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Applied Science before admission, then the candidate is not required to pass Physics, Applied Mathematics (1 and II), Applied Chemistry and Applied Science after enrolling. The University will offer admissions in Lateral Entry on the basis of merit of marks obtained by the candidate in class XII or class X + ITI (2 years). The candidate whose class XII result is awaited, can proceed further by selecting the option of Result Awaited. However, there is an optional (non-mandatory) field for uploading the previous year mark sheet. Please Note- The candidate will be asked to fill in their class XII Roll No. (Board or School, whichever applicable) and the online application portal will open again once the results are announced and then the candidate shall be asked to upload their mark sheet and fill in other requisite details.

Hindutani Vocal for Class XII is a non-technical subject.
– The University shall offer multiple entry and exit options as part of all the undergraduate degree (except B.Tech.) courses. This is to keep with the new National Education Policy that allows students to accumulate credits and gives the flexibility to join a course or leave a course with a Diploma at the end of first year, with an Advance Diploma at the end of second year. The students can also enter the courses in the second and third year if they have completed the required credits from DSEU or other universities.
– Please note that multiple entry and exit option is NOT available for diploma courses and B.Tech courses.
– Under Multiple Entry- Exit, the students will have the following options- a. Exit after One year: Get a Diploma b. Exit after Two years: Get an Advanced Diploma c. Exit after Three years: Get a Degree
– The diploma received after exiting from the first year or second year of the above mentioned undergraduate degree programs is NOT equivalent to the Diploma received after undergoing regular diploma program.
– Please note- In this academic session 2021-22, the University will not take any admissions in the second and third year of undergraduate courses.
