Prof. (Dr.) Girish Kumar Sharma has around 25 years of teaching and research experience. He started his career in the year 1996 as a lecturer in Computer Application at Hindu College, Sonepat. Thereafter, he worked at institutions such as ABES Engineering College, SIET, Saharanpur and College of Engineering, Roorkee in Uttar Pradesh. His research interests include Distributed Operating Systems, Discrete Mathematical Structures, Data Mining and Algorithm Design and he has published papers in National and International Journals. He has guided a number of students for their Ph. D. and Master’s theses. He has been supervising the admission process in Diploma Programs for the last three years in coordination with NIC. He got accreditation of the Institute & completed the process for International Accreditation of the Institute by APACC – Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission and  ISO 9001:2015 and completed the certification process for the Institute with STQC.

Dr. Sharma was awarded the Higher Education Commission Scholarship for standing at second position in B.Sc. in Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar. He has represented the university in Inter-varsity tournaments in Hockey and Kabaddi etc. He is holding the ’C’ certificate of NCC of Army wing with grading ‘B’. He is a Lifetime member of ISTE (Indian Society Of Technical Education) and has Institutional Membership at CSI (Computer Society Of India).
