DSEU Dwarka Campus Hosts Grand Independence Day Celebrations The Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) Dwarka campus was ablaze with patriotic fervour as it celebrated India’s 77th Independence Day with an unforgettable event that united students, faculty, and staff in a celebration of national pride and unity. The campus was bedecked in hues of saffron, white, and green, symbolizing the spirit of freedom and unity, while the campus grounds were adorned with decorations that evoked the spirit of the freedom struggle. The Independence Day celebrations kicked off in the early hours of the morning with the unfurling of the Indian tricolor flag by the chief guest of the event, the esteemed, honourable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ashok Kumar Nagawat, accompanied by the respected campus director, Dr. Kavita Khanna. The resonating sound of the national anthem echoed across the campus, stirring emotions and setting the tone for a day filled with enthusiasm and reminiscence of the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters. In a heartwarming gesture of recognition and gratitude, Prof. Nagawat felicitated the war heroes, who graciously graced the occasion with their much-revered presence. Prof. Nagawat expressed sincere gratitude to Sh. Kanwar Lal Dagar, Sh. Bijender Singh and Sh. Anil Kumar Yadav, for their unwavering dedication and exceptional service to the nation. Among the highlights of the celebrations were the drama and cultural performances of the students, that showcased India’s rich diversity through dance, music, and theatre acts. The audience was mesmerized by the vibrant colours, intricate choreography, and soulful melodies. This was followed by students presenting Yoga formation. It was a breathtaking performance, symbolizing the importance of this truly universal discipline for all ethnicities, for all faiths and cultures, serving as a holistic approach to health and well-being and a way to live in harmony with self, others and with nature, substantiating India’s motto of unity in diversity that is at the heart of the nation. Dr. Kavita Khanna, Campus Director, addressed the importance of freedom and self-reliance, and the sense of responsibility that comes along with it. She emphasized on the role of innovation, and skill development in the nation’s progress. She praised DSEU’s commitment to nurturing not only skilled professionals but also empowered citizens capable of contributing to the growth of the country’s economy. She highlighted the importance of working hard and honestly while staying committed to whatever it is that we chose to do. Prof. Nagawat, in his Independence Day address, emphasized the importance of nurturing a sense of responsibility among the youth towards the nation’s progress. He highlighted the true sense of dwelling into a nation that is empowered and peace loving. He emphasized that it is these very skills that all of us need to adopt in our daily lives. His words were met with a huge round of applause as he highlighted that the most integral component of any educational institution are the students. He also spoke about DSEU’s commitment to providing skill-based education that empowers students to become not only job-seekers but also job-creators, contributing to the growth and development of the country. Following this, all students, faculty, and staff came together to recite the Panch Pran Goals.
