Consolidated Report on NBCC- GPRA, New East Kidwai Nagar BBA FHM Department visited NBCC-GPRA, East Kidwai Nagar, Delhi. Around 45 Students, 2 Faculty members (Dr. Shyamala Mani, Dr. Ashima Sharma) & 1 Teaching Facilitator (Ms. Divya Negi) coordinated the entire visit. The Redevelopment of East Kidwai Nagar is where we got to know about the Waste and water treatment of the huge 86-acre residential plus commercial facility that includes government offices, residential complex, School, shopping complex and an ASI Site, i.e. Darya khan tomb nearby. The following points about the SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT and also the decentralized WATER TREATMENT PLANT were observed. Kitchen & horticulture waste is collected by door to door facility. Segregated at source and fine segregation at SWM plant App SWACH AAWAS to collect data of allotters providing mix, segregated & wet waste by QR scan at homes SWM plant based on Bio-Methanation & organic waste composting Plant working with 3.5TPD capacity. 3 TPD Bio methanation and .5 Organic composting 25KVA Electricity generated in bio gas plant. Also, the methods they use to collect waste door to door, its source segregation, further segregation, then shredding, and converting it into bio gas energy and organic compost. The GPRA COMPLEX is functioning on ZERO WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.
