REPORT ON VISIT TO INDIRA GANDHI HOSPITAL DWARKA

Students of D. Pharmacy First year and Second year visited Indira Gandhi Hospital Dwarka. Students explored the pharmacy department and understood about prescription reading, drug dispensing, importance of patient history and record keeping. Mr. Manoj Kumar, Chief Pharmacist explained about the inventory management, drug dispensing and patient counselling. He explained the important key points which are to be considered in drug handling and dispensing. Students got the chance to visit different pharmacies located at various floors and students interacted with pharmacists and learned various aspects of drug dispensing, stock management and counselling of patients. Dr. K. Mahender, Dr. Dipak Gadade, and Dr. Nitin Jain coordinated the visit.
