REPORT ON VISIT TO INDIAN PHARMACOPOEIAL COMMISSION Venue: INDIAN PHARMACOPOEIAL COMMISSION, GOVT. OF INDIA, GHAZIABAD Date: 20TH January 2023 D.Pharm 1st Year Event In-charge: Dr. Rashmi and Dr. Dipak Gadade Students of D. Pharmacy First year visited Indian Pharmacopeia Commission (IPC), Govt of India where standards for drugs, herbals, and vaccines are developed and published through Indian Pharmacopeia. They explored Pharmacovigilance Programme (PvPI) and Materiovigilance programmes (MvPI) of India. IPC is WHO collaboration centre for PvPI and regulatory services in India and very proud to know that India is the first country to include standards for herbal drugs in Pharmacopoeia for use in industry. Students drive round in various laboratories including NABL accredited chemical testing, biological testing, phytochemical lab, microbiology lab, wet labs, library, etc. Total 43 students visited the IPC and they got the chance to meet eminent scientists. Dr. Rashmi and Dr. Dipak Gadade coordinated the visit along with Mr. Gaurav Jain and Ms. Seema.
